Syros lies in the middle of the Cyclades
islands (Cyclades means the circle islands, because
they form a circle around Delos)
between Andros
and Tinos
to the North, Mykonos
to the East, Paros,
Naxos
and Amorgos
to the SE, Sifnos
and Milos
to the SW and Ios
and Santorini
to South. Syros is located close to Piraeus
port (the trip by ferry takes only 4 hours) and
there is a connection by ferry with Rafina, Paros, Naxos,
Tinos, Mykonos, Ios, Santorini, and other Cycladic
islands.It is also connected with Athens
by plane.
